I used geometric shapes mainly to paint the body and I exaggerated some features so that little chap looks like it is smiling!

I was working on a digital painting with my ipad following some techniques used for creating caricatures. The main technique is to exaggerate some features while keeping the character of the subject…not easy but fun!

I just tried a drawing app called infinite painter. It is as good as Procreate and I really enjoyed the painting process with layers and testing many brushes.I took the reference picture from Albeniz Rodriguez in Domestika which is a great online platform to learn new skills . .Now watching tv and drawing is super relaxing…Here is the doggy painting which will be the start of a new painting adventure!

An addition to my digital collection done with the iPad…I could not think of a better name!

This is a new technique I am testing using Procreate, my iPad drawing app.
I chose to approach this painting the same way I would be layering washes with acrylics and collage.
The result is brighter but still full of textures..It is really fun to try new techniques.. Digital painting is so versatile …

These two characters came from random shapes drawn on watercolour paper, then I transformed them into creatures using collage and acrylic paints. I think they are having a conversation about their teeth and how to keep them white. ..

It has been such a long time since I last posted a painting! It is lovely to be back to paint and play.I moved house and had to set up a new creative corner.Once done I emptied my art boxes full of treasures and magical tools…. I just played with mixed media and random splashes to create these “animals”.Lots of fun!
