This view can be glimpsed in between old houses and trees walking along the main street in Le Cannet. My point of focus is the terracotta pot which invites the eye to go beyond to discover a sliver of the sea in the background. Still part of my ongoing series about Le Cannet done in watercolour.

With the new year let’s have a look at the bigger picture and why not enjoy the view of Le Cannet with its simple church nested in glorious lush vegetation.

I felt drawn to the sunlit traditional house next to the Tivoli Gardens.I particularly like the crazy paving and it’s texture which makes quite a transition to the very brightly lit house.I chose a pink colour instead of the local white paint for the building. Artistic licence!

I keep my eyes open when I walk about in Le Cannet to get the best views as there are beautiful traditional old villas with great gardens and even in Autumn the vegetation remains lush as you can see…

Still in my ongoing series about the delightful Le Cannet where the architecture of the buildings is varied and inspiring.

I was fascinated by the round structure of this building and I felt drawn to the joyful red canopy of its entrance. Done on watercolour paper as usual.
