I was working on a digital painting with my ipad following some techniques used for creating caricatures. The main technique is to exaggerate some features while keeping the character of the subject…not easy but fun!

I just tried a drawing app called infinite painter. It is as good as Procreate and I really enjoyed the painting process with layers and testing many brushes.I took the reference picture from Albeniz Rodriguez in Domestika which is a great online platform to learn new skills . .Now watching tv and drawing is super relaxing…Here is the doggy painting which will be the start of a new painting adventure!
An addition to my digital collection done with the iPad…I could not think of a better name!
This is a new technique I am testing using Procreate, my iPad drawing app.
I chose to approach this painting the same way I would be layering washes with acrylics and collage.
The result is brighter but still full of textures..It is really fun to try new techniques.. Digital painting is so versatile …
These two characters came from random shapes drawn on watercolour paper, then I transformed them into creatures using collage and acrylic paints. I think they are having a conversation about their teeth and how to keep them white. ..
It has been such a long time since I last posted a painting! It is lovely to be back to paint and play.I moved house and had to set up a new creative corner.Once done I emptied my art boxes full of treasures and magical tools…. I just played with mixed media and random splashes to create these “animals”.Lots of fun!
The body the bow tie and the headdress were all made thanks to some material given to me by my lovely friends. So this doll had to be named “friendship”
This duck is inspired from a Tilda pattern which is very cute especially if you choose the right material coordination. I happened to have in my stash a brown velvety tie which was cut to measure to fit the size of the duck and finished off nicely the cosy look. The bottom part is filled with rice to get the weight necessary for the duck to stand up without falling over.
Delphine is another stump doll with curly hair and a beautiful hat adorned with 2 buttons.
For this kind of doll, it is necessary to put a weight at the base.I make a small bag which I fill with rice and place it inside at the bottom of the doll.
Delphine is a name given after the blue tall flower called Delphinium.
